Recently I'd been reading Sayonara Piano Sonata, since I enjoyed the manga and wanted to see where it continued off after:

Though I don't usually read a lot of light novels, I do plan to read more (in JP) as my Japanese improves
- My Death Flag Shows no Sign of Ending,
- An A-Ranked Adventurer's "Slow-living",
- Cook of the Mercenary Corp,
- Expecting to Fall into Ruin, I Aim to Become a Blacksmith,
- Is it Tough Being a Friend?,
- Running Away From The Hero! (Remake),

I read lots of LN/WNs but those are the ones that I immediately read when a chapter comes out. Most of them are webnovels by the way, except one.

Currently on the second volume of The Empty Box and Zeroth Maria. I'm trying to get more into light novels.
Finished Violet Evergarden.

Neat, very pleasant, and at times borderline sappy little book (literally - in print and regular format it would probably amount to no more than 300 pages), with some interesting twists thrown here and there (chapter ten - darkly dreaming dexter anyone?).

Multiple points of view and episodic nature helps to keep things interesting, while getting to know Violet exclusively through her actions witnessed by, or directly affecting others emphasizes novel's core theme of growing up - becoming a person is continuous process, easiest to observe from a distance, and that lack of first person perspective narrative intimacy helps to accentuate that.

On top of all, the author is surprisingly skilled with words, having no trouble with painting beautiful scenery, setting the mood, or making events feel poignant with rich vocabulary and well crafted, moment-appropriate phrases, making the whole reading experience more than enjoyable*.

Will most likely be picking it up if it'll ever get licensed.

*it was either that, or it's the case of a good translator taking a bit of artistic license with source material - either way, the final product turned out to be rather impressive, so kudos.

The Monogatari series and Swordtale.
I want to read Otome Game Villainess but it looks like there's only one volume out...
