But Musica and the other demon dude, did they eat humans? They were definitely able to keep their intelligence and their form and the sort, so they did eat humans, didn't they?

There really doesn't seem to be a feasible solution to this problem. The demons need to eat something with high intelligence to sustain their own intelligence, which rules out lab-made human meat without a nervous system since that would only slow their degradation. The only way for humans and demons to coexist peacefully would be for the demons to get modified somehow so they don't need to eat humans, but that would be such a cop-out..
