It's somewhat an inconvenience that the short by rating shows bunch of 10 rated series from only 1-2 people rate the series.
So could we simply give "-" rating which would drop the series to the bottom of the listing when the said series only have very few people rate the series (less than 10 people for example).
I mean, a mere rating from only one random person is hardly something to be taken seriously if I really wants to use the rating as a barometer of quality.
Other possibility is give user weighted rating power which makes it almost impossible for one person rating to show as 10.0 on the weighted scale. This might also be used to somehow normalize those bunch of people who only use specific range to rate (i.e only give 1 or 10, only use 5-10 range, etc). I think anidb double measurement using user-weighted-rating&avg rating is a decent example, at the very least not everything got 7-8-9 score.
