I've been going through and trying to figure out what jazz song each chapter was titled after.
Based on what I could find on Discogs, the only jazz song with this title seems to have been composed by a modern day Indonesian jazz artist named Benny Likumahuwa, and it was first released in 2012 on the album of the same name. Not sure if this is where they got the idea for the chapter title or not, but you can listen to it at the link below.

I like that his father is supportive. It would have been easy to take the “Jazz Singer” path and have it be a source of conflict.
