Author: I have a really great idea for a story.
Publisher: oh really? Tell me about.
Author: the main character has been raised by a bunch of granny's and Grandpa's out in the desert who have extremely powerful abilities. They send him to the city to get a proper education in school for some reason.
Publisher: oh, okay. Tell me more.
Author: as he's going along minding his own business he runs into someone who starts ridiculing him and shaming him out of nowhere assuming he's some poor, idiot person. But, he does something really extraordinary showing off his abilities and people treat him like a superstar for that chapter.
Publisher: oh, great! Then the next chapter?
