A centralized list of my recommended reads. Almost everything here has a well established 8 star+ global rating from several users. I primarily read isekai/fantasy, slice-of-life/comedy, and romcom. If our interest collide and follows overlap, here are a few more you might enjoy.

These lists were written with the help of my post-preview script, which now does automatic scrolling and auto spoiler opening, to ensure you always can see what you are working on.
My personal favorites
Miss not so sidekick
[ Isekai | ⭐️Comedy⭐️ ] A comedy with hints of romance. Not a rom-com though. Romance is the comedy for our MC who thinks she is in the spectator seat! (Make it to ch2 before judging)
Favorite Comedy - has official English translations
Established and Ongoing
Series that have a decent amount of content, good story, and well established 8 star+ rating.
The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion
[ Isekai | ⭐️Romance⭐️ | Rom-com ] (the only story I have read where the MC practically becomes the villainess when she wasn't before)
Favorite Romance - has official English translations
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken
[ Town Building | Isekai | Comedy | Monster | OP-MC ] Reincarnated as an OP slime. Highly recommended for isekai readers.
Queen with a Scalpel
[ Meta-Isekai | Timeleap ] Doctor reincarnated into her previous world as her old childhood self.
has official English translations
Survive as the Hero's Wife
[ Villainess | Isekai | Romance ] Our lovely
Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?
[ Isekai | Adventure | Monster ] Reincarnated as a spider.
If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord
[ Fluff | Slice-of-Life | Fantasy | Adventure ] A loving and heart-warming slice-of-life about our cute daughter. Sweet/fluffy/calming manga. Nothing can make you happier than seeing the smile on your daughters face..
Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami
[ Isekai | Romance ] A dukes daughter is publicly humiliated and throws herself into her work in despair. With the aim to improve the quality of life for her people, she works non-stop.
Mushoku Tensei ~Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu~
[ Isekai | Heavy | Tragedy | Gore | OP-MC ] This OP MC has a slight personality problem IMHO. Isekai with a heavy story. The story and plot are great with a big focus on character development. Its the first Tragedy I followed. I had to power through in the beginning for the MC and plot to grow on me but and am glad I did.
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari
[ Isekai | Emotional | Tragic ] A summoned hero who has nothing to fight with but a shield. Rejected both by his summoners and fellow heroes alike. Watch as our poor MC struggles with both the hardships of this world, and his own emotional scars. Focuses on world building and emotional turmoils of the MC.
Up and Coming
Not much content yet, but seems promising. I sincerely hope these ones continue on using their current ploy. But always fear the mangaka will run out of content or betray our expectations with the next chapter.
Slime Taoshite 300-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Level MAX ni Nattemashita
[ Isekai | Slice-of-Life | Comedy | OP-MC ] Watch our OP witch slowly build her family.
The Daughter of the Albert House Wishes for Ruin
[ Isekai | Villainess | Rom-Com ] Our reincarnated Vileness MC decides to run straight towards he own demise so that the player can live a happy life! Laugh as she and her butler try to follow the plot and ruin their name in slightly unconventional ways!
I Swear I Won’t Bother You Again!
[ Timeleap | Villainess | Rom-Com ] After a year of bloodlust against her loving half-sister, our poor MC ends up getting herself jailed. However, by some miracle, she has gotten a second chance! Avoid the sister, that is the key to a happy life!
Titles that thrived from the start to finish
[ Light | Isekai | Comedy ] A light-hearted comedy about a Demon Lord who wonders why she must be killed.
Girls' Last Tour
[ Post-Apocalyptic | Light | Tragedy | Slice-of-Life ] In a post-apocalyptic world, two girls set out on a journey. A great slice-of-life with a slightly tragic story.
Terrarium in Drawer
[ Comedy | Fantasy ] Translated back in bato.to days. No real way to describe this. Perhaps we can call it interconnected one-shots. Significantly different from anything else I have read. Highly recommended
Ore to Kawazu-san no Isekai Hourouki
[ Isekai | Comedy | OP-MC ] Comedy about an absurdly OP MC who has been kidnapped by a frog. Family friendly, I let the kids practice reading with this.
It's My House
[ Fluff | Slice-of-Life | Comedy ] A soothing story about a retired knight and his
Because You Asked For Lewds
Decent series which focus on ecchi situations. Take the rating with a grain of salt as these type of manga are ruthlessly downvoted. Note, this list only contains series where ecchi/lewdness is part of its core, not ones where it is a side gag to a main story
Dogeza De Tanondemita
[ Ecchi | Comedy | OP-MC ] Did you know girls will strip if you ask them polity in Dogeza pose? If not, this series is for you! Top of the class MC who realizes that the process is just as important as the result. The focus is on the emotions of the girls being targeted. Recommended for all men of culture. Please do not downvote/drop solely due to the one troll chapter which occurs early on. The author merely was trying to have as much fun teasing us as he does with his lovely girls.
Deadman's ListSeries which had a good start, but lost their momentum too soon -->
[ Isekai | Comedy ]
Handyman Saitou In Another World
Focuses on the eccentric nature of the world and its occupants more so than the isekai-ed MC. Dying out. First 5 chapters highly recommended!
I write backend programs and database crap.
My skills and knowledge are above average. But my motivation and dedication are below.
I am not a social person, even online. Perhaps I am too concerned about how others view me. Despite directly influencing it, I have no control or knowledge on what you think of me after all. Scary thought, I am glad I don't know you IRL.
I tend to post and then edit in/out details I want as I complete my thought. It takes a long time for me to compile my thoughts into a post after all, so I want to ensure I don't loose it all before posting (phone die, browser crash, power outage, accidentally hit back button, etc). Due to this habit, I often get myself in unexpected edit wars against replyers. It's quite fun, but a bit embarrassing since my half-formed thoughts often include inaccurate information or provocative(not sexually! ...usually) wording. However, If I tried to wait until I get everything perfect, I simply would never post anything. As such, I force myself to post and live on with the mental turmoil.
Interested in my MDlist? Here are some rough rules that I use for rating.
- For all ratings above 8, It must be good enough that I still remember the story!
- For a rating of 10, I must like it enough to re-read it from start to finish, several times over.
- The lower the rating, the more I believe it was a waste of my time. I rate in reference to other series with a roughly similar theme and genre. Rating is not based solely on weather or not I enjoy it. I enjoy some trash manga that I would never recommend to anyone. My rating is basically on how competent I believe the mangaka is.
I go back over and re-rate manga a few times a year. Ones that stick in my head as great series after a several month hiatus are the ones that keep a rating of 10.
