UnderGrind cuenta una historia poco usual, que ajustada a la realidad de nuestra patria (Colombia) se vuelve bastante cotidiana, tomando en cuenta lo que mencionaré mas adelante. La acción se desarrolla en “ciudad Paraíso”, un paralelo de nuestra sucursal del cielo: Santiago de Cali, donde encontramos una variopinta muestra de subculturas y los eventuales conflictos que hay entre ellas, y es aquí en esta enmarañada jungla de asfalto y gañanes que encontramos a nuestro “protagonista”, un muchacho afro de 17 años, padre ausente, y de estrato bajo que se gana la vida robándole carteras a mujeres para comprarse patines costosos, mientras su hermana vende goma de mascar en los semáforos de las ciudad para ayudar en casa. Pero su vida cambiara cuando un indigente con ánimos de venganza llegue a su vida y le muestre el camino al poder en el oscuro mundo de la mafia.
