Satoko Tawada is an office worker. She's almost 30 years old, but she still hasn't been able to find happiness in her life. Fate brings her with Mashu Hayami, a beautiful 12-year-old boy whom she finds practicing soccer all by himself in the park. Out of a whim, she decides to help Mashu with his practice, with her knowledge of soccer at her disposal. As they practice together on an everyday routine, the two eventually develop an emotional bond. When Satoko's ex-boyfriend deceives her, Mashu gladly comforts her. And when Satoko learns of Mashu's mostly absent parents, she starts to concern herself with his personal life. The two lonely souls find common ground and develop an emotional bond that transcends their age difference and circumstances. With this newfound bond, new feelings start to sprout within Satoko. Are these feelings that of maternity? Or is it something else?

so they're not going to end up together (interview)
who changed this to korean when its japanese?
why is this marked as korean now
Originally, this would've been a loli romance, like typical Japan,
but they reversed the genders...suddenly everyone is squeamish about it.

Ahhhh, I see.
I agree with author's point of view. It's not entirely wrong but turns out that ... it's slightly off from my expectations.
Weekly "Watashi no Shounen"! Amazing. I can't wait to see how the story will continue!
Thanks for picking this again. Love ya.
Don't sexualize the shota!
please update this
I really hope a group picks this up, I read it from start to finish and now im hooked
Can't wait for a group to pick this up again.
Comencé a leer esta seria desde el primer capitulo y me tuve que chupar la espera de todos los demás pero valió la pena este manga es un nuevo estándar en mis mangas de romance
The approach is done with many calculations. Great.
I mean, like many mangas I've read - and with concepts that are not much different, about the age gap - this doesn't get a completely bad perspective. Even though it is understandable how people respond to illicit relationships between strangers. There is a feeling of anxiety, worry, fear - well, it increases.

But, the age gap is still not a big problem.
It is like I'm 21 years old and like men over 30 years old. There will be time for me to arrive at a certain age, as well as Satoko and Mashuu. That is not a crime. Don't compare it to hentai - which is clearly different, in a sense, in ethics.

There is no difference in terms, but there is a significant between the two. What is it? Whether or not there is commitment.
I will not openly say "there is no limit in love". Because, we humans still have to see, consider everything. And this has to do with how special this manga is because the main character is not a lonely woman who is thirsty for caresses of love - like a teenager blinded by love - and not too glorifying the beauty of love then filled with many aphorisms. They are met by the needs of each other. And that love comes slowly.

As of now, I think Satoko still doesn't feel 100% love. Not yet. She only recognized Mashuu as the opposite sex, as a friend.
It is clear the concept of love in this manga will be debated through social views. I expect the climax to fall in the right place.
Its literally impossible to go back to reading all those trashy romance manga after reading something like this, hats off for the author putting effort to right a great story on top of great art!
Is this dropped?
Not a fan of her sister being relevant, seems like a device to straight up the story instead of playing and fleshing out the main characters into making their own decisions. (Like Koi Kaze, which has a similar premise of tackling a taboo realistically)

Otherwise, fantastic artwork and heart-wrenching drama. I hope the romance tag will be rightful one day.
Maybe its a cultural difference but this is manga is somewhat difficult to read. The boy is motherless and clearly vulnerable which makes this all the more disturbing.
Ah another grooming manga. This is ok cause she is a woman and it transcends age differences ok!

pffft sure man
@Meriodia idk how it works in Japan but their is such a thing called "grooming" laws in the US and this is the legal definition "Child grooming refers to an act of deliberately establishing an emotional connection with a child to prepare the child for child abuse. Child grooming is undertaken usually to carry out sexual abuse and other child exploitation like trafficking of children, child prostitution or the production of child pornography."

Obviously im not implying Satoko is guilty of this since she was actually innocently trying to improve the life of a child whos clearly been abused and neglected and not some type of fake emotional relationship but im sure this but as @Strongstache mentioned the imbalance in this type of relationship does warrant a lot of red flags...obviously once both parties are legal consenting adults that its no ones business but even if they just wait and dont do anything intimate it can be interpreted as predatory by Satoko
