It's a sub-trope of the "Dark History" trope. The main trope is that the victim did something, typically in their middle-school years, that they now find excruciatingly embarrassing and don't want revealed. Sometimes the embarrassing activity is chuunibyou behavior, but when it's not, it's usually writing over-dramatic poetry.
