So MC's father helped save the Shui family 16 years ago, and as thanks they joined another family to practically wipe out the Chu family 2 years later? Talk about ingratitude. Should've remained thankful and not try to swindle their way out of the marriage agreement they proposed. Would've been in much better shape and not isolated on the verge of being wiped out now. Would explain why the family genius is so arrogant and spoiled. Might get her comeuppance sooner than the year the MC gave her.
