My knowledge of Japan has increased, as to what kind of knowledge, I do not know.

Thanks to the author for finally having the protagonist do the sensible thing in response to this trope.

Now she just needs to get wealthy enough to own a walk-in-freezer.

When I first read this a year ago I was not yet familiar with the author...

and now I'm kind of shocked to realize that the one "happy end" living snow-man story was from this author XD

@whoamiagain: Because abject tragedy is depressing and conversely suppresses any release of emotion, until we feel we are at least somewhat in a safe space again. (And no sane person would knowingly go into avogado's works with their heart unsteeled)

Frankly, the story felt unoriginal. There are so many stories/animations about putting snowmen in the freezer. The first time I read a similar story was “Sadie and the snowman”. The stories are essentially the same with few variations.

At least get a bigger freezer or move to a colder place. And make a second smaller snowman, you monster! What the fuck kind of life is that thing living?
