As @Bestboy stated before, Australia being led by a "Conservative" Government as of 2018, while @dsid2814 is correct to say that they, compared to America of course, are less conservative to the republican party in the USA but less progressive in comparison to the democrats in the US. If one knows or has done any research on the Australian Liberal Party, their political ideology could be found to be "Classical-liberal" or just plain "conservative". Even the Heritage Foundation, a huge conservative "thinktank", promotes them. The only reason people are blaming the "SJWs" is if an American audience misidentifies "Australian (and by extension European) Liberal" with "American Liberal". They have even formed in coalition with the "National" Party in Aussie land; the same one in 2016 that was found to have Neo-Nazis in it's Youth Division.

Conservative governments tend to be sex negative so this ban is not one of shock or surprise.

To be honest. The fact that only one person questioned the reporting isn't shocking, I did predict the same thing happening in threads that OP made about bans. (The Japanese Liberal Democratic Party isn't liberal either. Maybe there's a difference in how the word "liberal" is used...? Where I live, "liberal" in a political context means that the party is against economical regulations, so they are anti-socialist/-communist.
