Music tournament?

We are allowed to have forum game, aren't we? Is anyone interested in participating in a music tournament? We used to have this a few years ago back in Xseed forum.

Here's how it works: You guys will submit about 4 to 6 of your favorite soundtracks from whatever video games that you have played. Once we have reached the limit, let's say 64, then we will stop accepting submission. These 64 songs will then be divided into pair. So let's say we have 32 pairs. Everyone will listen to the tracks from each pair, then vote for the one they think is better. To make things go faster, we will do about 4 pairs per day. After 24 hours, the result will be announced. The track with more votes will move forward. We'll do that until we get to the very last one. If the winning track belongs to you, perhaps you can get a small prize, or something.

There might be some changes, but that's the gist of how it works. Anyone wanna sign up?

By the way, we can't have a poll with unlimited time?

Considering that Xseed used to be a game-centered forum, maybe it made sense to limit the selection to game music only. But since this is a manga website, I assume many would be more into anime than video games...? If the restriction is too tight, then perhaps I can
1. Change it into an anime music tournament only.
2. Allow choices to be from both anime and video games.
3. Any song of any genre is acceptable.
I'm not sure if 3 is a good idea for the first tournament. I'd prefer to have some sort of limit. Again, this depends on how many people are willing to participate, and what they would like to see. Judging from the number of votes and replies, this is not looking good already...

So, do you guys want a tournament with music from only video games, or anime, or both?

Someone voted for a prize. Lol. I just thought it'd be a fun game to play, that's all. Too bad, I'm not admin so I can't give you anything special, either. Eheheh...

This is not an "official" MD tournament. Just something us normal users do for fun, so it won't be in the contest section.

Soooo, this is basically: link up to six songs from some of your favourite game soundtracks (assuming you like soundtracks).
Well, I do happen to like soundtracks.

Here's some (ambient) ones that I really like and a couple that I thought shouldn't be missed:

EVE Online -- Jón Hallur - Stellar Shadows
Horizon Zero Dawn -- Joris de Man - A Wanderer's Work
No Man's Sky -- 65daysofstatic - Outlier
Mirror's Edge -- Solar Fields - Introduction
Planetside 2 -- Jeff Broadbent - Vanu Sovereignty Main Theme
Hollow Knight -- Christopher Larkin - Greenpath

Minecraft also has an excellent Ambient OST, but alas, there's no space. There's way more equally-good soundtracks that aren't Ambient.
There's also licensed songs in video games, which are often more fun to listen to. Borderlands 2's opening with Short Change Hero... Dead Space 3's end credits with Ephemeral, and so forth. Anyway, that's my picks for the EOP.

I intended this to be a survey thread only, but oh well. Let's go for it.

I also asked if you guys want this tournament to be video game music only or anime as well. No one answered, so I'll be a dictator and decide: only music from video games this time. Soundtracks or vocals are okay, but no unofficial covers and remixes.

Also, to ensure as many people can participate as possible, I will have to limit the number of submissions to 4! Please submit no more than 4 of your choice. If two users happen to submit the same one, I'll choose the one who submits first. The maximum will be 64! So I expect about 16 people participating. If we don't get to 64 after a few days, I'll ask people to submit more.
Again, there won't be any prizes for the winner. It's a fun tournament only.

I think I should clarify that "no covers/remixes" means no unofficial fan-made ones. If a track from an old game is remixed by the developer into a new game, then it's fine.
