Is there a way to foreshadow a foreshadow?

I'm asking this as a thought experiment, I doubt the extra work will enhance the story in any way but if it does, it's probably a masterpiece to begin with.

When you reread a novel or rewatch a movie, you will catch onto the foreshadowing that the author has placed to hint at the ending. This gives the second viewing a sort of feeling of novelty and exclusivity for truly understanding a certain piece of the story in exchange for spending time to re-experience said story for a second time.

So what if we foreshadow the foreshadowing? Will the readers be able to get that same thrill upon third viewing? Is this even technically or mentally possible considering the amount of skill required to write such a story or wether the viewers may catch onto the foreshadow's foreshadowing before they're supposed to?

Depends what you mean. Technically, one could make the argument that's just natural plot progression, or that it's layering further developed hints ontop of hints.

It's subtle, but you've probably already seen it a few times. @DANDAN_THE_DANDAN
