Taiwanese cosplayer wins legislative seat

27 year old cosplyer, as well as a former activist, Lai Pin-yu (賴品妤) has won the race for the 12 district of her home city, New Taipei City last Saturday.

Before her victory was official she left the following message on her facebook page, which included a picture of herself dress as Sailor Mars from Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon :

Hello friends, I am Lai Pinyu, lawmaker of New Taipei City's 12th District. Please give me your feedback over the next four years
