They would stink, so you can't have them work near you.
They're also rotting, so you have to replace them every now and then assuming you can't reanimate a pile of bones.
Both murder and grave-robbing are illegal and actually take money/effort/connections to do; getting replacements would neither be free nor cheap.

Moon rabbits are 1000% better.
They probably smell like mochi.
You only have to provide them rice (to make mochi with).
Most of all, they're so cute.
