Playstation 5 Launches Next December

The next console from Sony Interactive Entertainment would be release December of next year as announced by the new president and CEO of the company, Jim Ryan, on Sony's Playstation blog today. Along with this announcement there is information concerning the features of the controller for the upcoming Playstation 5. Those features being a haptic feedback that will replace the rumble feature and adaptive triggers. Is anyone looking forward to the new system?

For me I am going to wait to see what games would be made available on the Playstation 5 before I get excited. Software for me is more important then the hardware.

Why is the rumble gone? Anyway. I thought there would be an E3 or PSX announcement, not through Wired. Other than that, I'll probably buy it. Eventually. Not day one though.

If you want to play FPses or Exclusives on powerful graphics settings, Play Station 5 is fine.
If you want to play Japanese games or Visual Novels on it, I don't recommend buying Play Station 5.

Sony America (Sony's Console Division is in America now), keeps censoring Japanese games. If they keep telling companies to censor and localize dialogue and nudity as though judging and forcing Western culture on Foreign people is natural, why the hell don't I just wait for a Switch Port? What if the X-Box is not shet this gen and I buy that instead?


WE DON'T BUY JAPANESE GAMES SO YOU CAN CENSOR AND LOCALIZE THE DIALOGUE AND MODIFY THEIR GAMES SONY AMERICA.

And for that matter, Japanese gamers and game companies aren't happy with Sony either because Sony America has been censoring Japanese games in Japan itself. TO A WESTERN STANDARD. IN an ASIAN COUNTRY.

Not only did Sony America tank Japan's local Visual Game Novel industry (and make a LOT of Japanese game companies and gamers angry), they banned Visual Novel ports and heavily censored the rest of the Visual Novels they actually allowed.

To say this has not been going well across the pond in Japan, is an understatement. If you ever wondered why Playstation 4 didn't do so well in Japan this Gen, the simply answer is Sony America happened. The console market in Japan before the Switch was really not doing so great, Sony America essentially face planted the PlayStation 4's momentum in the Japanese game market.
