Of all the Japanese thingies I see in manga, the all time most tempting has to be the kotatsu . . . until I remember that I've got, like, central heating.

I assume it's like a thick blanket, the kind you use for sleeping, with a heating unit underneath to keep it pretty warm, even in somewhat cold indoors temperature.
