"High Step" is a song composed by trumpeter Benny Harris. The most famous recording is probably that led by bassist Paul Chambers in 1956, featuring John Coltrane on saxophone. The recording was later re-issued in 1975 under both Chambers' and Coltrane's names in order to cash in on the latter's fame.
