Is it wise to have the initials the same as AOC, the politician. Given that the US election is one year away (2020) a misinformed mention of AOC may incite a political blowup in the chats. I understand there is history to you guys scanlating name, but I want to caution you guys on careless usage/mentions of AOC.

the only dude who is bringing politics into this is you. even in the VERY unlikely case it spurs up some bs i'm sure mods will clean up any irrelevant arguments not pertaining to the topic at hand.

let the scanlators keep their name, it's cute.

And with MD mods being generally hands off about not moderating off-topic arguments, that won't be happening anytime soon if one does start.

Besides, in acronyms you usually leave out the "of" or the "the" in the name, like the USA isn't called TUSOA. So they should be AC Translations.

Edit: Mods are generally lax on off-topic posts, but we'd rather announcement posts stay on topic as much as possible.

Like JustNatsuki said, I am stating that similarity as a warning of caution. But I also want them to keep their name since its childhood history makes it special and I believe that they should not change their name if the only reason for it is that another issue takes problems with it.
