Here's an example for you:
Take One Piece, a story about a group of pirates going after treasure. That's the premise. Now imagine if Luffy, main character, got completely different crew members after a time skip. People will get mad. Why? Because people actually like the old characters. They like it when the old crew interacted with each other. By your logic it's still the same premise, a group of pirates going after treasure. But my point is that the premise is not what makes a story.

Or how about Harry Potter, after book 6 Ron and Hermione are gone and Harry got new friends.

That's why I'm mad. The old characters I liked weren't even part of the fucking ending.
hoping there is season 2.....
people who are complaining about after the timeskip because "it's not highschool anymore" "it's too much about voleyball", you guys are reading a manga about that, what did you expect???
honestly never thought I’d be this invested in a series, yet here I was, crying over the ending of Haikyuu, a sports shounen about high school boys playing volleyball, even though it wasn’t even sad...

Haikyuu is one my favorites of all time, thank you Furudate-sensei :,)))
There it goes the best spokon from shonen jump since Slam dunk.

i cant believe its already over maaan 10/10 a masterpiece i love the art
Everyone says this is great. It’s unfortunate that I can’t get past the art. And I think sports theme resonate less with older readers.
I honestly did not like the direction the manga took.

I would say 90% of it was really enjoyable while the last 10% was just me trying to finish the thing because I already invested a lot of time into following it.
I'm only on the first few chapter but from the rating spike I can guess the ending was good
One of the best follows!
This really was a great series and brought a lot of the anime/manga community together, I was literally crying at the last chapter and still am. It was a wild ride but it's arguably one of the best manga out there, I can't wait for it to all be animated and for the original tiny giant to get a voice. Its a beautiful series with a lot of characters that you fall in love with over the course of reading it (my favorite char. is Kageyama but some of my others are Kuro, Lev, Kita and Kunimi :P). I cant speak enough for the series but its all thanks to Furudate-sensei for creating it :)

this series is wonderful. the best sports manga you'll ever read in your whole life
no bullshit "skills" like other sports manga out there. just pure volleyball and the fun of the game.

will probably read this again when i got old and got more time

easily one of the best manga i've read in the past 10 years, never thought i'd cry so much about dumb volleyball boys but here i am :')
if you're reading these comments wondering if you should read this, you ABSOLUTELY should.
what a helluva ride that was. hoping for a continuation with a bunch of new juniors :)
Thank you Furudate-sensei.
Great series, but like always Japanese writers don't know how to finish a series.
Thank you for the amazing 8 years, Haikyuu!! 😭
Thank you so much, Furudate!
Uh can anyone upload the remaining missing chapters, thanks!
if you want it to end before the time skip read slam dunk instead
the last arc of haikyu is great
