@BCS Saitou could've been deeply involved with reading her phone or something while Yokoi built the table

No one with courage enough to talk about the elephant in the room...?

Avatar
@bcs for 3000 yen you can be sure it's not a new table. If it's a wooden one it's possible it came assembled already. They are sturdier than typical IKEA furniture.
Avatar
That's some pretty heavy PTSD there :-(

CARVING insults into the desk? Damn that's some dedication. Brand new table arriving with a scratch they wouldn't be able to miss because you have to assemble these? Damn that's some railroading

I'm glad the neighbor's a good person. I hope she finds happiness one day.

She sounded plenty happy already ( อก° อœส– อก°)

Goddamn it! I know something would happen from that title alone and because it was way too happy at the beginning.

Honestly, I'm glad the author lampshaded the haircut because I felt it always fit but I didn't quite know how. I think the description is fair. @OniBarubary

Alignment: Chaotic Good. @rebel16

When the sex addict stops having sex, shit has hit the fan. @Kiyoshiro

The scary thought is that she might be choking on her own vomit, hence the shaking and the grunting...

Same, I can remember some not-too-fond memories of me running out in the street as an autistic kid that physically couldn't control their anxiety. What made it worse was that I was diagnosed at the time... @SanitaryCockroach

Nothing lasts forever, and trust me when I say that with mental health, relapse is always an issue you're paranoid about. @YUWIN

The scar was clearly pointed when she was introduced, you only forgot.

That's to be expected by buying from Amazon.

Fuck man... fuck...
The chapter started with them talking about "being comfortable", but the thing is, you can never be really comfortable reading this. Because of Saitou's traumas she can have an attack suddenly, without warning. The most scary part maybe is that her condition is kinda real, PTSD comes suddenly and hard, ever harder in her case because of how her senses work.

Makes me think...
Did you see the news that they're doing an animated movie of "Josee, the Tiger and the Fish"? I see the news and got in the mood of rewatching the 2003 live action movie Sunday. It's a romance, about a normal guy and a disabled girl he meets (she can't walk). It was an "unconventional" romance, because was more about how the protagonist, no matter how much he liked the girl, couldn't really handle the situation. Disabilities and physical deficiencies in Japan is a big taboo and shame. In the end he couldn't deal with the situation, and the only thing he had to endure was how society viewed them together. Yokoi here have it much, much harder. Saitou's problems aren't immediately apparent for anyone who glances at her, but her case is much grave and most importantly, dangerous.
I think that if they end this story together doesn't depend on him. No on his effort alone. It depends on Saitou, like the girl of that movie, to improve and manage to stand by herself to ease Yokoi's burden.
