Vol. 11 Ch. 54 - Hayashiyama-kun Wants Satisfaction
Avatar
Oh man, I feel bad for Chihiro-chan as usual.
Avatar
Wow. I thought he said it was love at first sight? He sure moved on quickly ๐Ÿ˜‚
Avatar
For all the trouble he caused, he still pretty much gets a happy ending. At least Chihiro wont have to worry about this clown anymore
Avatar
He's an asshole because of other things outside of his baseball efforts. Like the betting with Chihiro as a prize, thing. Raging out like a lunatic didn't help either. Then getting popular and arbitrarily deciding he doesn't need her anyway so the bet is off. You know who throws their feelings at someone else, demands their attention, and then disregards them entirely is? Yeah, an asshole. Being good at baseball through his own efforts and becoming popular as a result is completely irrelevant to how he behaves as a person.
Avatar
Exactly. Hayashiyama actually worked the hardest in baseball. Glad it's finally paying off
Avatar
Hayashiyama worked his ass off and eventually people recognized his skill. Yugami would've been that popular too if he at least had basic social skills and etiquette. Dunno how he's an asshole to ya'll eyes

@blah12141 they just say "girls" but i just like to play it up for /a/ thus all the cursing in other chapters.
i didnt expect my TLs were going to be typesetted tbh. (not that i would have toned it down or will)
i was considering sending them a "definitive" version with that and other minor fixes when i learned it will be TS'd but i'm too lazy

Why are you guys taking Hayashima so seriously? I find him to be a sympathetic character.

Also, do they really say "bitches?" For some reason it seems too "slangy" for this manga, no offense to the translators (and thank you to them).

And with one glorious scene, Hayashiyama became one of my favourite characters ever.
Avatar
Will she end up asking yugami anyway ?!
Avatar
Cih, he makes a harem of his own..

I swear to God, please give him some of that pepper spray.

Fuck, I wanted to see Chihiro spraying pepper on that mofo's face.
Avatar
Hey I joined Hayashiyama fan club too who wanna join with me.

And just like that, all the discussions and arguments about Hayashiyama were invalidated.

What's really funny is that Hayashiyama was estabilished as "that kind of guy" from the very beginning when he was introduced, with the whole self-reinforcement thing in front of a mirror.

thanks for such fast and high quality scanlation

@tblst
As we've seen when he's not with Yugami, Hayashiyama is perfectly capable of maintaining healthy relationships with his teammates, underclassmen, neighbors, and even fangirls without making things creepy.

Well done pointing that out. I was so focused on his relationship with Chihiro and rude things he had done to her that I overlooked other details.

Yugami is never unpredictable.

It's people who keep expecting things from him and complain when he does not conform. It's like the girl he "dated". She kept imagining things about him and when he wasn't actually how she imagined him to be, she blamed him.

I don't know if Yugami will ever get a girlfriend, but she better not expect to change him.

@Darklight99

Aronson's first law: "People who do crazy things are not necessarily crazy."

Hayashiyama's obsession with Chihiro stemmed from a series of misunderstandings between him, Chihiro, and Yugami in the first place; it by no means proves Hayashiyama a crazy or bad person. As we've seen when he's not with Yugami, Hayashiyama is perfectly capable of maintaining healthy relationships with his teammates, underclassmen, neighbors, and even fangirls without making things creepy. As ridiculous as the whole affair has blown up to be, it would inevitably be resolved by having him and Chihiro talk everything out calmly, presumably without Yugami's presence as the unstable catalyst.
