@xaraphina Hmmm, I guess I should check again whether the Indonesian release says he's declared innocent or not, I seem to get the impression from there.
Edit: Nevermind. What Usui said in court in the Indonesian release is "Saya mohon bebaskan Seimei Yamai dari hukuman mati", which is the same in this scanlation, only in English. Thanks for the correction.

@vangstampede he wasn’t found innocent, he was “spared” the death penalty so Usui would have time to see if he could/should complete his plan.

I really love this kind of development and unpredictable ending. Reminded me when I first read Murder on the Orient Express

Holy shit what a madlads. In a way it kind of similar with that case from CMB where the guy corrupt someone so they can be similarly corrupt.

This is the best episode of this series, I was highly impressed how it was laid out and ended.

What a great writing!! Thanks for translating...
God, I'm glad that he could find a sun after raining heavily!!

I knew something was up when the criminal was declared innocent but he still committed suicide anyway. That must be Usui's aim from the start.
Just...seriously, that's horrifying.

As other said holy shit. That is an extreme way to get revenge on someone.

Woah what a twist did not expect that

I wonder how Toma would be like if Mizuhara just suddenly disappears. Not dying, just like, ignoring/hiding from him.
