Ch. 880 - Best Friend ->Father

Thank goodness they explain it better next chapter: she just wants him to feel as nervous as she is ?

haha i also get it
just because tomo wants to date jun doesnt mean he has to tiptoe around her because he sees her like a woman now. literally nothing has changed about tomo except they're dating, they should still be able to have fun like they used to.
i think @/Heap explains it really well

WHAT DO YOU WANT

But I get it, they wanted to stay best friends. but lets be real its not possible for everything to be the same.

I think this is when those "Bed games" come into play now yeah?

(guy) I don't get it.

Jun did just say he was now reluctant to hurt her with his hands/fists. That'll make sparing a lot less fun. Plus now he doesn't have the motivation of following her strong back. It's different, so there will be an adjustment.

To be fair/even-handed, there are plenty of competitive guys who start to lose interest in a gal as soon as she's "caught" (whether that means agreeing to date, taken him to bed, or just feels bonded). You know: she seems to look better running away with a flirty look over her shoulder than gazing up lovingly from right beside you.

Tomo: Stop treating me like your best friend
Jun: *Treats Tomo like a girlfriend and says they can still act like best friends*
Tomo: You're being annoying
Jun: *Surprised pikachu face*

If Jun "calms down too much" it doesn't fit their rivals/friends/lovers agreement. So yeah I get it (and I am a girl, but I don't think you have to be one to get it). Jun would probably complain if Tomo went full girly-girl for him too.

Also this isn't a new complaint for her, since she says she's been noticing for a while now. Them making it official has made it worse though probably.

Tomo misses rowdy boy Jun because that's really part of how their relationship developed and why she likes him. no point if he just steps back and dotes all the time; they gotta have their banter and competitive fights

What Sype said. Jun has went full gushy dad.

Tomo being the warrioress she is wants to light the flames of manly passion again. Can't have all the cozies all the time, can we? We must have more shenanigans!

I feel like something hast to be lost in translation here.

Yep, I'm a girl, and I don't get any of this either... The author might be playing this for comedy but can we just get some romance already instead of always having Jun as the butt of the joke? I feel bad for him, honestly.

Seems like the author had a lot of experiences dealing with girls in relationship to be able to depicted it accurately here.

Even the two cakes they are eating are fitting their image.?

@Monky
Right back at you, bud.

Karate and fighting in general mean a lot to Tomo. Most other girls can't offer her much of a challenge in matches. She's really disappointed Jun doesn't want to fight her anymore. She might even be afraid Jun's more mellow behavior in her company could be an indication of Jun becoming softer in general. I reckon she would prefer Jun to be Bear Killer Junior instead, after her father. I'm not overly surprised she's this hasty with her judgement, either. She's not a super smart individual.

A lot of misogynists here.

That's why we have block blockety block block. Don't waste keystrokes trying to civilize insecure man-childs.

A lot of misogynists here. Each woman is different, don't lump all of us together then make a stereotype. As a woman, I don't understand this chapter along with Tomo's thought process at all.

Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call irony.
