@Faulheit Maybe a little bit too harsh-sounding, but it is difficult to convey tone through text. I mean, the fact that the "proper", socially acceptable ways of referring to people/pronouns involves the person's relative title/position indicates something. For example, calling someone a manager if they are the manager is the socially acceptable way of addressing them over and above any other pronouns (generally speaking).

That's not to say that other languages don't do it too. I know it's not altogether uncommon. I didn't say whether that's good or bad. I still feel like it's accurate, though.

They should continue that after school.
Just remember the time limit is midnight, or things will get more interesting. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

@jasty Really? I disagree. Japanese is a very rigid language where everyone has to fit into their little boxes or else people feel uncomfortable. I feel like chapter 1 shows that fairly clearly when it shows the first change. Kaoru uses a feminine pronoun to refer to herself while Jun uses a masculine pronoun to refer to himself. Those are supposedly their inner thoughts and how they identify.

You might disagree that their self-identification is the same as what you mean by "natural gender", though, so fine if that's the case.

I like how it's so ambiguous what their natural gender is or whether they even have one.
Not many other genderswap makes it so unclear.
