I believe you remember it right but may have mixed it.

Laios and chilchuck have said in the changeling chapter (vol.8 ch51) that tallmen live on average up to 60 yrs old, half-foot live on average up to 50 yrs and dwarf live 2.5 times longer than tallmen (so about 150 yrs).

During the dullahan chapter (vol.9 ch57) laios said that elves lives 5 time longer but in earlier chapter during the shapeshifter chapter (vol.6 ch39) chilchuck ask if elves can live up to a thousand years and marcille said that there are records that some may have live that long but nowadays elves at most live up to 500 yrs


So there is an inconsistency with elf lifespan.

"Laios claim" that average elf lifespan = average tallman lifespan × 5 (so about 300 yrs)

"Marcille claim" that average elf lifespan is 500 yrs (but if we use this back in "laios claim" to find tallman lifespan we get 100 yrs)


So we can say that :

Tallman lifespan (max) is 60 - 100 yrs (average 80 yrs)
Elf lifespan (max) is 300 - 500 yrs (average 400 yrs)

Okay, after you mention this, I'm not sure any more where I got that number. I BELIEVE I saw it in the raws (something about age of majority 80, average lifespan 400). Since I can't find the raw page with the translation, I leave it at that.

Gnomes can live up to 200 years old if the Tances are any indication. So they can at least live twice as long than humans/tallmans. You might be thinking of half-foots like Chilchuck, who only live to about 50.

I think races in Dungeon Meshi sorted by lifespan would be like Elf>Gnome>Dwarf>Tallman>Orc(?)>Half-foot
Just missing Onis/Ogres like Tade and Kobolds. Hopefully we'll get more info on them in this book.

'Died early' can be everything: accident, old age, ACCIDENT, etc.
'you run at a different pace than everybody else' everybody else can be... everybody else... like her tall-foot friends....


Well excuse me for being someone who read at own pace, have no time to read the latest, and jump to the extra.

I mainly comment because her design is different than other elf.

sorry, I missed that, but I interpret the 'unstable lifespan' as 'most half-elves have much shorter lifespan than elves, but sometimes there is really long lived half-elf'.

unless marcille is one of the rarer cases, I think estimating her as comparable to a 25 year old human is ok.

Senshin is 112 yrs old, he's in his prime and nearing old age if we assume that dwarves lives up to only 150 yrs (2.5 times longer than tallmen), but laios said "average" for tallmen is 60 yrs, so we can also say they can go past that age, plus 10-30 yrs? which seems fair enough, for me atleast.

also the Gnome employer of namari is 210 yrs old but still quite energetic.

First it was implied in the nightmare chapter, when it was stated that her father died early and her mother told her "you run at a different pace than everybody else".

@Nightdotexe Dwarves live longer than that. Senshi himself is over 100. I think gnomes might have a lifespan close to that.

@Nightdotexe Because it never mentioned in the book, she's quite different with other elf with no explanation, and I comment after reading like the first two pages.
